Target audiences
- The general population who is able to obtain a legal permit to carry in the State of New Jersey.
Pursuant to the recent Federal Court decision in N.Y. State Rifle & Pistol Assoc. v. Bruen, No. 20-843 and the New Jersey Attorney General Directive 22-07, the justifiable need to carry a handgun is no longer required. This course has been established to satisfy the state requirement set forth in N.J.A.C 13-54-2.4(b), “Passage of any test in this State’s laws governing the use of force.”
This course was developed by OPTU’s Police Training Commission (PTC) certified firearm instructors.
